This is, or is going to be, a
database including (hopefully) all or most thieving spots
worth anyone's time. The reason I'm doing this:
1.) No one else has this or has
2.) It would be really helpful.
3.) Its actually something
Now, the deal goes like this.
Anyplace in the game world that is worthy of good loot or even
a pass-by will be included within this guide. I'm aiming to
have instructions to the area and what can be obtained there.
So here goes.
If you've found a good thieving
spot, or somewhere where there's good loot, please e-mail me:
If you could, indicate it's a
contribution in the subject line.
All credit for the
location/item will be given to you where your location/item
* Sorry if you get confused
with the e-mail, just copy and paste it.
Another important part of this
is how specific it is. If you see any wrong data, or know
something more specific to an entry, please tell me. Like, if
a lock level for a chest isn't listed, and you know the level,
you can send that in. Also, anything that says VARIOUS ITEMS,
if you know what kind of items those are, please tell me also.
I'll make a list here of what I need. If you see anything on
that list that you know, send it in. My e-mail is underneath

your papers to at the beginning of the game
What can be found in the back
of the Seyda Neen trade house?

The lock level of the chest and
door under High Fane
Issue 1: 26/07/02
The first issue. Includes
locations in Seyda Neen, Balmora, Suran, Vivec, and assorted
other locations in the wilderness.
Check all the boats
that you ride. Lots of them have magic items, skill books, raw
glass, and ebony!
Census and Excise Offices
There's a Limewear Platter on
the bookcase in the room with the class-generator guy and the
guard. To get it, steal it and drop it to the ground before
the guard talks to you.
DAGGER, LOCKPICK, MATZE
All in the first room down the
hall from the room you start in, to the right.
KEY TO WAREHOUSE
On the bookshelf in the last
room. Where the guy is you give your papers to.
Within this warehouse, you can
get skooma, moon sugar, and other things. Be careful of the
guard in here. See 'Census and Excise Offices' to obtain key.
Or you can pick it. Either will do. Contributed by:
The backdoor to the trade house
in Seyda Neen can be picked. I think it has a lock level of
70. There are a lot of people walking around it to, so good
luck. Remember to not sell the things you stole to him.
There's a book on the bench at
the top of the stairs. It's called 'The Wraith's Wedding
Dowry'. It boosts your Unarmored skill.
SEYDA NEEN, WILDERNESS
GROTTO - NIMAWIA
TONS OF PEARLS
Go north of Seyda Neen then go
west of the sign post, north across the bridge, then west some
more. You'll find the body of the dead tax collector. Go
north. You should see a bay. Dive down and you'll see the
grotto. Information and directions contributed by: ShadowThief.
Go north of Seyda Neen then
head east and north a little bit until you find a cave. I
think the name is Adamasartus. You'll find a slaver bandit
RIGHT when you enter the cave. Kill the slaver bandit. Go
through and east and you should be attacked by a mage. He's a
tough guy but two Drathis Winter Guest scrolls will kill him.
You can buy the scrolls from Arilles Tradehouse. After you
kill the mage, that leaves one more bandit. She's weak but her
chitin throwing stars are a pain. Get close and whack her.
There is some nice newbie loot and some more skooma/moon
sugar. Now, alas, go east from the crates. You'll see water,
jump in and swim to the other side. Walk up the path and you
may or may not be attacked by a rat. You'll see some bones and
gold pieces in a corner. There's the Thief Ring. Information
and directions contributed by: ShadowThief.
Upstairs, by the enchanter.
There's several gems (with souls) sitting on top a Limewear
Platter. Jump on top of the desk, with the girl turned away,
and steal the things. Be sure to pick up the Grand Soul Gem,
worth 60K! Here's a small list, by ShadowThief:
Grand Soul Gem (Winged
Twilight) - 60K
Greater Soul Gem (Dremora) - 6K
Common Soul Gem (unknown) -
SEVERAL RESTORE ATTRIBUTE
POTIONS AND OTHERS
Downstairs in the Mages Guild,
find Sharn Gra-Mudgrab, the orc mage. There's a chest with 75
lock. Pick it and there are several potions in there. The orc
can clearly see you so you should have a high sneak skill.
At the end of the hall he's
standing in, turn left and there's a stand with various
weapons on it.
Go up the stairs and pick the
door. I think it has a level of 50. Once inside, you can get a
bunch of clothes from the chests and the closet.
GRANDMASTER PICK AND PROBE
Go to the room left of the
upstairs entrance and you should find a girl named Towendy.
There's a GM pick and probe on the table by her. Get her to
turn away from the table, and then sneak to get them.
Follow the Odai south from
Balmora until you come to a fire. There's a bridge around
there. Cross it and continue east. You'll come to some hills,
nested around a bunch of rocks is an ebony mine. Inside,
ebony! You can also get offers from people if you tell them
where the cave is. See Vivec for detail on getting an offer.
TONS OF MAGIC WEAPONS/ARMOR
Go to Vivec's Palace and enter
the High Fane. Look for a door on one end with a lock level of
45. Open the door and there should be a man in the room. Look
for a chest in the corner. It should have a high lock level.
Pick it and look inside for around fifteen magic armor and
Go to the rooms in the
Ordinator barracks and look for chests. Most chests have a
lock level of 10 and contain a few Ordinator equipment.
Haunted Manor, St. Olms
OFFER OF DAEDRIC WEAPONS
Go to the St Olms plaza and
look for the Haunted Manor. In there, find a door with a lock.
Pick it and look through there for a man named Dram Bero. If
you found the ebony mine south of Balmora, (see Balmora,
Wilderness) he'll ask you for the location. Tell him, and
he'll ask you to pick a Daedric weapon. Pick one, and he'll
give you one of that type.
Great House Vaults
TONS OF STUFF
See Pip the Piper's article on
raiding the three house vaults.
Head to where the bull netches are. You'll see a tower (tower
shack). Head inside. Taunt the guy inside, donít feel guilty,
he hates you. He uses a Daedric Dai-katana (VERY NICE!). He's
tough but itís worth it.
Head over to Dren Villa. Check everything. Cloth sacks have
100 gold and a desk has some gold also. Head upstairs to find
some Daedric greaves on a shelf. There's a guy that walks
around in the villa. Find him and kill him (TAUNT FIRST); he
carriers a Daedric katana and Daedric shield. I notice a
second, random "nice item", also appears. I have noticed he
has either 500 gold, a Daedric dagger, or a Daedric wakizashi.
Down by the docks of Dren Plantation you'll see crates. Go
ahead. Look inside. You'll get a bunch of skooma and moon
If you go in the Dren Plantation storage, you'll find even
MORE moon sugar. But someone stands there. Be careful. All
Dren Plantation entries contributed by: ShadowThief.
Near the trader of the town, (he's near the clothier) there is
an orc female wearing glasswear. And if you use light armor,
she's your chance. She's tough but worth the while. Nail her
and raid her ass. But donít forget to taunt before you attack
so you arenít committing the crime. She is.
The outfitter in Suran (listen to this) will let you take
ANYTHING IN HER SHOP! She has master lockpicks, a steel cross
bow, master probe, master armorer hammer, and a skill book.
Donít hesitate. She also has 100 gold in a small chest on a
Check all the houses in Suran,
many of them have skill books worth good money. All Suran
entries contributed by: ShadowThief.
ZAFIRBEL BAY, VARIOUS ISLANDS

Wolverine Hall, Tel Aruhn, or Sadrith Mora. From Wolverine
Hall, just head northwest, past the
island of Tel Aruhn, to the
unlabelled island northwest of it. The entrance to the cave is
on the west side next to the ocean. Here are some of the items
you can get:
Scroll of Black Scorn
Scroll of Summon Flame
Scroll of Mark

Scroll of Grey Despair

Thereís more than that. Watch
out for Dremora. Contributed by: AceJr12345.
